Dr Larry Bull
- FRACGP - Director
Dr
Bull graduated from the University of QLD in 1986
and then spent 3 years at the Toowoomba base hospital
before taking up the position of Medical Superintendent
of Cherbourg Hospital for 3 years. He then established
the Mt Coolum Medical Centre and worked in general
practice there for 9 years. Dr Bull had a keen interest
in skin procedures during this period. Dr Bull attained
the Fellowship of the College of General Practice
in 1994.
After selling his practice at Mt Coolum Dr Bull together
with Dr Scott Wilmot established SolarDerm Skin Cancer
Clinics, which have grown to 5 practices in 5 locations
with 10 doctors working for the group.
Then ongoing early detection and treatment of all
forms of skin cancer especially possibly life threatening
melanoma is the focus of our work at SolarDerm and
Dr Bull takes great pride in belonging to the team
and the great results that we believe we have achieved
so far.
Dr Bull is married and has teenage Children.
Dr Angelo Marcolin
- MBBS QLD
Dr Marcolin completed his medical degree
at the University of Queensland in 1982. He worked
in his own country practice in the hinterland for
20 years. He now enjoys working in the Gympie clinic
specializing in the detection and treatment of melanoma
and skin cancer.
Jennifer Hollingworth
- Office Manager
Jennifer has worked for SolarDerm in
Gympie since the clinic opened in May 2003. She enjoys
the challenges of a busy practice and her contact
with all the patients who attend our clinic.
Chris Swan -
Practice Nurse
I work in Aged Care and have done for
the last 15yrs, so I welcome the change in being the
practice nurse in a successful practice. I joined
Solarderm in October 2005 and enjoy the company of
my work mates. I am married with three children and
have lived in Gympie for 10 years.
Ann Steffans – nurse
Ann is a qualified EN and she has worked in Aged Care for 25 years in Gympie. Ann enjoys the challenge of the busy day working for SolarDerm once a week. On her rest days Ann enjoys gardening and reading.
Ruth Hutchison
- Receptionist
Ruth worked as a medical receptionist
for a local GP. His retirement from general practice
coincided with the opening of SolarDerm and she was
more than happy to join the team in Gympie.
Leigh Harney
- Receptionist
I commenced working at SolarDerm in
late 2005 and am looking forward to the challenges
of a new workplace. As I am a “people person”, this
area of work will be very rewarding for me.
Monica Baumgartner - receptionist
Monica likes to work with friendly people and is looking forward to settling in to her role as our new receptionist.
Monica has worked in a variety of positions both in Australia and overseas.
