Basal Cell Carcinoma
BCCs are the commonest cancer in Australia. They
may arise on any part of the body, and are seen commonly
on the head and neck. They may appear as a pearly
lump or a red scaly patch and have a tendency to bleed
with minimal trauma. They usually grow slowly and
may appear as an unhealing sore. BCCs have a low
potential to spread to other parts of the body and it
is less common for them to be fatal.
